Fire drill is an important safety measure conducted to mitigate the risk of being trapped in a building, in the event of a fire or other emergencies. It is also a requirement by the Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia for every large building to conduct a fire drill yearly. In compliance to this requirement and to equip our employees with the knowledge to safely escape fire, UBF Melaka branch had successfully carried out a Fire Drill Exercise & First Aid Training on 11th November 2021. With supervision by Fire & Rescue Officers from Balai Bomba Tangga Batu, Melaka, our staff had the opportunity to demonstrate that they can perform evacuation safely and efficiently with fast response time. During the training, the Fire & Rescue Officers had also held a demonstration on how to use the fire extinguisher correctly and how to bandage wound properly. We hope with this exercise, our employees will have adequate knowledge to handle fire emergency situation should the need arise.
